Author, composer, performer and DJ, Alex Millan stands among the French musicians of the electronic scene. From Montpellier, his first step in production, in 2004, was the creation of a maxi Maria Rosa, which immediately allowed him to rapidly acquire a notoriety in the universe of modern music. Before that, there was the Villa Rouge period, a well–known club that attracted the biggest names on the world scene and that he joined in 2000. He had the occasion to mix next to Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Carl Cox… . Since then, Alex Millan (whose real name is Alexandre Unkovic, of Slavic origin) has had a career path rich in releases under several well-known labels. Two major milestones! In 2008, he released the title Ironik (Speicher 62) under the famous German label Kompakt, and in 2010, which represents an important objective for any musical producer, an album: Triple (DJ Center). Many of his titles are on compilations next to Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Paul Kalkbrenner, Trentemoller, James Zabiela… . With nearly 15 years of experience, Alex has been able to incite public interest and his titles, in a durable manner, are playlisted by the most prestigious DJ’s. All this has easily opened the way for his performances in foreign countries, where he mixes frequently. His music oscillates between rhythm, melody and melancholy.
